The Gardens of Yes and No

Japan, 1861.

Two men, one shipwreck.

Two letters, one love.

Nineteen months, dutiful son and merchant, Kurayama, and the steadfast ship’s carpenter, Yasuda, were stranded on the island after their ship sank during a storm. Long enough for them to fall in love. More than long enough for it to hurt when they are rescued, and parted.

As Kurayama sits down to write, will paper, ink and the words in his heart be enough to reach across the miles between them and reawaken the love they shared? To reunite him with the man he cannot forget?

"In only a few pages the author has written two beautifully touching love letters. If nothing more, the significance of the title is worth reading this book. I loved it!"
